Handwritten and signed diary addressed to Phineas Young and dated 27 Oct. 1836. Joseph tells Phineas about the conditions of employment of a painter in Kirtland, Ohio. Young says that Brigham Young would be the best person to do the painting.

Photocopied holograph letters, patriarchal blessing, and a history of Liberty Park in Salt Lake City, Utah. The letters are to and from Phineas Young and are largely about family matters. The history of Liberty Park was written by Phineas' wife Phoebe Young.
