Biographical History
Craig L. Foster (1959- ) is a research specialist in Utah.
Craig L. Foster was raised in San Joaquin Valley, California. He served as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Belgium and France from 1978-1980. He then attended Brigham Young University, graduating with Bachelor's and Master's degrees in history as well as a Master's in Library Science.
As an accredited genealogist, he has worked as a research consultant at the Family History Library in Salt Lake City since 1991. He has published articles about different aspects of Mormon history. He is the author of two books, co-author of another and co-editor of a three volume series discussing the history and theology of plural marriage. Foster is also on the editorial board of the John Whitmer Historical Association Journal.
Craig is married to the former Suzanne Long. They are the parents of three children: Robert, Shannon, and Senia.

The Butlers : the ancesters and descendents of William George Butler
Photocopies of various materials, mostly typed. Collection consists of photographs, drawings, genealogical worksheets, maps, and a short history of the Butler family by Craig L. Foster. These items were collected by Mr. Foster from various published and non-published sources. William George Butler emigrated from Ireland to the United States and joined the Mormon Church. He later settled in Marriott, Utah.
