Biography
Inez Knight Allen (1876-1937) was a politician in Utah.
Amanda Inez Knight was born in September 8, 1876, in Payson, Utah to Jesse Knight and Amanda Melvina McEwan. She studied at Brigham Young Academy in Provo, Utah. Inez's studies were interrupted by a call in 1898 to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was assigned to the British Isles and she and her companion, Jennie Brimhall, were the first women to serve missions unaccompanied by a husband. She met R. Eugene Allen, and on June 11, 1902, they were married.
She died of acute gastritis on June 5, 1937.
