Contains two holograph missionary journals (April 16-November 14, 1903 and November 15, 1903-April 21,1904) kept by DeWitt on his mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Oklahoma and nearby states. Also included are two holograph journals (July 29, 1897-November 30, 1900 and 1901-1906) and an autograph book (1900-1901) kept by his wife, Ruth Leila Kempe DeWitt. Contains diaries belonging to the Kempe and DeWitt families. Includes a diary of Christopher Jensen Kempe about his missions, time in the Detroit penitentiary, and marriages. Also contains diaries of Abel Alexander DeWitt, Jr. about his mission from 1901-1903. Finally, contains an autograph book and diary of Ruth Leila Kempe DeWitt as well as a short biographical history of her descendendants and ancestors. Dated approximately 1860-1996.
