Charles Ellis Johnson (1857-1926) was a druggist and photographer in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Charles Ellis Johnson was born on March 21, 1857 in St. Louis, Missouri. He moved to Salt Lake Ciry in 1860 and then to St. George in 1866. While living in St. George, he met Ruth Young (daugter of Brigham Young) and married her in 1878. In 1882 they moved to Salt Lake City where Charles worked as a druggist for ZCMI which then resulted in him and Parley P. Pratt starting a drug store in 1889. In 1893 Charles started to work with photography and took over Hyrum Sainsbury's photograph studio. He took many picture for the Salt Lake City theater and the Salt Lake City area. In 1917 he moved to California and he died February 21, 1926.
