Biography

Julia Ann Johnson Babbitt (1808-1857) was an early Church member.

Julia Ann Johnson was born November 9, 1808 to Ezekiel Johnson, Jr. and Julia Hills in Westford, Vermont. She married Almon Whiting Babbitt on November 23, 1833, and they had nine children together, which she raised by herself after her husband’s death in 1856. She died on October 23, 1857 in Crescent, Iowa.

Letter-press copy of a handwritten and signed letter, dated 3 Feb. 1857 and addressed to Julia Ann Babbitt. Whittney writes about the estate of Julia's husband, Almon W. Babbitt, who had been killed by Indians in 1856.
