Biography

Bertel M. Sparks (1918-1994) was a law professor at New York and Duke universities.

Bertel M. Sparks was born March 12, 1918. He was a highly esteemed law professor and his work was almost equally divided between the schools of law of New York University and Duke University. Sparks specialized in the areas of real property, trusts, wills, and future interests. Bertel M. Sparks was also the author of several books and numerous journal articles, some of which were published in the Freeman, a publication of the Foundation for Economic Education. In 1972, Sparks was named to the board of trustees of the Foundation for Economic Education and frequently spoke at its sponsored seminars. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church.

Bertel M. Sparks passed away January 24, 1994.
