Biography
Florence Jepperson Madsen (1886-1977) was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, a composer, a vocalist, a director of Relief Society Singing Mothers, and a Brigham Young University professor emeritus.

Hymnology
Typewritten book draft. "A study of the historical, doctrinal, prophetical, and promise content of our L. D. S. hymns and classification based on the propriety of hymn selection." The work is a history and an analysis of LDS hymns and of those who wrote them. The item was coauthored by Florence J. Madsen (1886-1977).
