Biographical History

Antone K. Romney (1902-1982) was an education professor and college administrator in Utah.

Before his time at Brigham Young University, Romney worked for the Utah State Department of Public Instruction and served as the director of library and director of school buildings, in addition to serving in other capacities. Romney joined the BYU faculty in 1946 and spent 26 years at the university, serving in various administrative capacities including dean of students, chariman of counseling services, dean of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, and was the stake president of the Brigham Young University stake in 1956. He also served as the dean of College Education from 1961-1969. At the university, he taught courses on subjects including education, philosophy, law, and comparative education. He retired in 1972 and passed away on February 24, 1982.
