Biography
Kenneth Eugene Schultz (1930-2010) was an avocational historian of Frontier Airlines.
Ken Schultz was born on August 19, 1930 in Denver, Colorado, to Emil and Sophia nee Bongers Schultz. He attended Emmaus Lutheran School from 1935 to 1943, and graduated from North High School in 1947. He was an active member of a number of Missouri Synod Lutheran Churches and served on many boards and committees. He earned his aviation mechanics license early on and worked for various airlines as a mechanic and eventually an airline maintenance supervisor. Schultz was an avid fan and member of the Frontier Retirement Club and had an extensive collection of airline memorabilia. He wrote histories of the original Frontier Airlines and other associated airlines. He was a member of Die Pommerschen Leute, AHSGR, the Frontier Retirement Club, the Colorado Historical Society, and the Colorado Aviation Society.
Ken Schultz passed away in Wheat Ridge, Ohio, on May 2, 2010.
