Biography

Salome Carpenter Smith (1901-1976) was the second great granddaughter of pioneer Margarett McCullough.

Salome Carpenter Smith was born on October 11, 1901, to Jacob Nephi Smith and Margaret Ellen Carpenter, in Glendale, Utah. She is the second great granddaughter of early Utah settler, Margarett McCullough. Salome married Lamont Williams Hunter on December 14, 1921, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Together they had five children. Salome died on October 26, 1976, in Salt Lake City, Utah.
