Biographical History
Carol Lind Taylor Bonnett (1932-) is the daughter of Alta McEwan and John W. Taylor and wife of Bud Louis Bonnett. She shared many of her life experiences of her time in Provo for the Charles Redd Center's "Historic Downtown Provo Oral History Project.” She has also contributed many of her family documents to BYU's L. Tom Perry Special Collections.
Carol Lind Taylor Bonnett was born in November 20, 1932 to Alta McEwan and John W. Taylor. As a child, she would often hike locations in Provo, Utah, such as Provo Canyon and Y Mountain. After she graduated Provo High School in 1951, she married Bud Louis Bonnett in 1952. As a couple, she gave birth to five children: Jon, Joseph, David, James, and Clarissa.
Bonnett has regularly shared her memories and historical items to Brigham Young University. In 2007, Bonnett collected items from the Taylor family, then loaned her family photos to BYU's L. Tom Perry Special Collections. Likewise, in 2011 she participated in an oral history interview for BYU's Redd Center, sharing many of her memories of life in the Provo region for the "Historic Downtown Provo Oral History Project."
