Wayne Eldon Stevens (1923-2018) served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Wayne Eldon Stevens was born in El Paso, Texas, in 1923. He was a freshman at Brigham Young University when Pearl Harbor was bombed. He registered for the Army and reported in 1943. During his service, he was sent to the Philippines and Japan. In Japan, he practiced hydroponic farming. He returned from the war in 1947 and was active in the army reserves until 1953. He continued his studies in chemical engineering and worked for Exxon. He married two different times and started a chemical plant. He passed away in 2018.
