Biographical History

John Denny Pace served in the US Army Air Corps during World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War.

John Denny Pace was born in 1920 in Burley, Idaho. After high school, he tried to find work in California, but was unable to because of the Great Depression. He went back to Idaho and attended college before getting drafted into the military right before the bombing of Pearl Harbor. He joined the Army Air Corps and flew over 50 missions over Sicily and Italy. During the Korean War, he trained pilots in combat, and was called back again during the Vietnam War to haul cargo. He was awarded 16 air medals for his work over his 30 year military career. He passed away in 2013.
