Biography

Robert H. Hinkley Jr. (1934-2016) served in the United States Air Force and was stationed in Taiwan.

Robert H. Hinkley Jr. was born to Robert and Ruby Hinkley in Burley, Idaho on April 28, 1934. He graduated from Twin Falls High School in 1952. In 1954, he joined the United States Air Force, and was sent to Taiwan. While he was in Taiwan, Robert joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1956. Robert later attended Idaho State University, receiving a degree in elementary education and becoming a teacher. Robert died January 21, 2016.

Scope and Contents Photographs and slides of Hong Kong and Taiwan taken by Robert H. Hinkley, Jr. while serving in the United States Air Force. Photographs are mainly of street scenes. Includes photographs with members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, as Hinkley joined the Church while stationed in Taiwan.
