Biography
David Hyrum Wood (1880-1964) served in New Zealand as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
David Hyrum Wood was born December 10, 1880 in Pinto, Washington County, Utah. He grew up in Huntington, Utah, and completed high school at age 16. He worked on a ranch for a season, then at 17 began attending Brigham Young University. He left on his first mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in April 1901, to New Zealand, and later served to New Zealand again in 1912. David died January 7, 1964 in Murray, Utah.
