Biographical History

Victor L. Walch (1934-) is a former mission president of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Victor Walch was born on July 19, 1934, to Lila Bean Walch and Charles Lloyd Walch in Union County, Oregon. He was raised as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He graduated from La Grande High School on May 28, 1952, and then went to study at Eastern Oregon College for two years.

Walch served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the California mission from October 1954 to September 1956. On April 26, 1957, he completed the basic army administration course as a private in the United States Army. Around the same time, he completed chaplain training for the army.

Walch married Carole Marie Foster in the Salt Lake Temple on September 4, 1958. He was awarded a bachelor of science degree from the University of Utah in 1960, and graduated from George Washington University with a bachelor of laws degree and practiced law as an attorney and counselor at law starting in 1965. In the 1980s and early 1990s, Walch was a part of the Rotary Club. He also served as a bishop and stake president in the North Hollywood Stake. He and his wife, Carole, served as mission presidents in the Utah Salt Lake City mission from September 1991 to April 1995. In 2001, Victor and Carole visited Greece. As of 2021, Walch was a resident of Utah.

Victor Walch graduated from The George Washington Univeristy with a Bachelor of laws degree and practiced law as an attorney and counselor at law starting in 1965. In the 1980s and early 1990s, Victor was a part of the Rotary Club. He also served as a bishop and stake president in the North Hollywood Stake for his church. He and his wife, Carole served as Mission President and Presiden's wife in the Utah Salt Lake City mission from September 1991 to April 1995. In 2001, Victor and Carole visited Greece. He and his wife are still living and currently reside in Utah)
