Biography
Samuel Roberts Bennion (1842-1915) was a rancher, businessman, and stake president in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Utah.
Samuel Bennion was born November 10, 1842, in Nauvoo, Illinois. He married Mary Panter September 28, 1867, in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was a cattle rancher with his father John Bennion in Taylorsville, Utah, and one of the founders of Uintah Valley. Samuel served as president of the Uintah Stake of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for over twenty years, and served a mission to the Eastern States Mission in 1876 to 1877. He also served in British Mission from 1883 to 1885. Samuel died November 16, 1915, in Vernal, Utah.
