Biographical History
Henry M. Stark (1900-1988) was a chemist.
Henry Moroni Stark was born on March 28, 1900 in Spanish Fork, Utah to Moroni Stark and Sarah Hanson Stark. From 1919 to 1921, he served a mission to Northern California for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He graduated with a B.S. in chemistry from Brigham Young University in 1923 and with a Ph.D. in chemistry from the University of Wisconsin in 1929. He worked as a research chemist for DuPont until he retired in 1965. Henry M. Stark married Helen Candland on March 28, 1936 in Washington, D.C. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. They had three children: David C. Stark, Sarah Lydia Stark, and Karen E. Wilks. Henry M. Stark died on January 24, 1936 in Provo, Utah.
