Biographical History

Stuart B. Jardine (1917-2013) was an avid runner in Utah.

Stuart Bryson Jardine was born on May 31, 1917 in Bountiful, Utah, to Frank Jardine and Ada Frances Bryson. He attended the University of Utah, and he served in the Navy during WWII. He married Winnifred Jardine on January 29, 1946 in the Salt Lake City Temple. He worked as a life insurance agent, and developed a love for running later in his life. From ages 59 to 70, he ran marathons, and ran a leg of the Olympic Torch relay in 1996 for the Atlanta Games. Stuart died on February 18, 2013 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
