Biography

Rhoda E. Smith (1879-1923) was a schoolteacher and homemaker in Idaho.

Rhoda Elizabeth Perry was born to Philander Franklin Perry and Hannah Elizabeth Jacques on June 29, 1879 in Provo, Utah. She was raised a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and was baptized in 1887. She attended Brigham Young Academy in Provo, and worked in the local woolen mills.

In 1904, Perry married Hamlin Hannibal Smith in the Salt Lake Temple. They eventually had four children. The family moved to Idaho by 1910, where Rhoda Perry Smith worked as a schoolteacher and a homemaker.

Rhoda Smith passed away in Melba, Idaho on January 9, 1923, a complication of an accident four years earlier.
