Biography

Cyril D. Pearson (1897-1966) was a lawyer and veteran from New York.

Cyril Drew Pearson was born in Lehi, Utah on April 4, 1897 to parents Andrew C. Pearson and Sarah Smith Pearson. He enrolled in the United States Military Academy when he was 21 and graduated two years later in 1920. Pearson served for one year in infantry and one year in Chemical Warfare Service, when he resigned his Army commission to attend law school. He received a bachelors and a Doctorate in Law from the New York University Law school. He became a member of the New York, Utah, and United States Supreme Court Bars. In 1928 Pearson was hired by the Standard Oil legal department where he recieved international acclaim. In 1921 he married Helen Smart. They had two daughters.
