Biography

Maggie Geisler (1882-1969) lived in Salt Lake City, Utah, and worked as a housekeeper for wealthy families, eventually settling at the Miles Hotel as a cleaning maid and housekeeper.

Maggie Geisler was born Magdalene Catherine Jensen on April 25, 1882 in Hjorring, Denmark to Jens Andreas Christian Jensen and Maren Catherine Christensen. She worked at the age of 18 in the homes of wealthy families in Ogden, Utah. She married Julius (Joe) Geisler in Ogden, Utah on July 3, 1906. She became the housekeeper at Miles Hotel after Joe's death, and stayed at this job until she was 70 years old. She died in Salt Lake City, Utah on June 13, 1969.
