Scope and Contents Holograph letters dating from July 1884 to June 1886 written to the family of Reuben A. Allen, many of who were living in Freeport, Ohio. At this time Allen was an Indian agent at the Crow-Blackfoot Agency in Piegan, Montana. Most of the letters are written from Reuben and his daughter, Nora, and Lyde, who may be Reuben's wife, Eliza.
