Biography
The Benjamin and Eleanor Grainger family (1898-1956) were early members of the LDS church and relatives of the Peter Gottfredson family. Benjamin Christopher Grainger was born on July 22, 1874 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Christopher and Sarah Emma Salkfield Grainger. Eleanor Campbell Bringhurst was born on February 8, 1878 to William Augustus and Susan Adams Steele Bringhurst in Toquerville, Utah. Benjamin and Eleanor were married August 31, 1898 in St. George, Utah. They had five children: Lucille, Delbert, Edith, Dorothy, and Irma. Irma was later married to David Booth Gottfredson in 1922. Benjamin passed away on July 3, 1957 and Eleanor passed away on November 21, 1956, both in Salt Lake City, Utah.
