Biographical History

Georgia J. Story Hardy (1948- ) is an alumna of Brigham Young University and the wife of David L. Hardy.

Georgia J. Story Hardy was born in Kauai, Hawaii in 1948 as the daughter of an employee of the Libby Pineapple Company. In Kauai, Hardy’s mother converted to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. When Hardy was seven years old, her family moved to Honolulu for three years. A year after her parents were sealed in the Laie Hawaii Temple, her parents divorced. Hardy and her siblings moved to San Jose, Hawaii with their mother.

After graduating from high school, Hardy began her post-secondary education at San Jose State College. However, at the request of her mother, she transferred to Brigham Young University in the hopes of meeting her future husband. While in Provo, she met David L. Hardy, and the two were soon married in Alameda City, California on January 25, 1969. They were sealed in the Oakland, California LDS Temple.
