Biographical History

Holly Madsen is the wife of James Madsen.

Holly Madsen was born in Oregon. At the age of twelve, her family relocated to Texas, where she grew up. After her graduation from high school in 1988, she decided to attend her parent’s alma mater in Brigham Young University. While there, fell in love with James Madsen, who was at the time her sister’s husband’s brother. After a few months of courtship, James and her were engaged on Christmas in 1988 and married in 1989.

Holly Madsen performed various plays at the Provo Tabernacle prior to its destruction by fire in 2010. She has helped the community through her participation in activities such as the Charles Redd Center for Western Studies's Historic Downtown Provo Oral History Project.
