Biographical History

Marilyn Eva Tall Perry (approximately 1933- ) served as a recorder for Provo City between 1987-2003 and is a talented pianist and organ in the Provo, Utah area.

Marilyn Eva Tall Perry was born around 1933 to Dr. Asael Tall and Eva Tall in Rigby, Idaho. Upon the request of Eva, Marilyn took piano lessons, acquiring a skill she would carry into adulthood. After graduating high school, she attended Brigham Young University in the early 1950s, majoring in elementary education.

While attending BYU, she met and married her husband L. Malin Perry in 1954. When Malin served in the Air Force in Warren AFB, the couple moved to Cheyenne, Wyoming. Malin served active duty in the Air Force between 1955-1957. They returned to Provo in 1957, and Malin served in the Air Force Reserves, where he stayed until 1988 when he retired as a Lieutenant Colonel.

After returning to Provo in 1957, Marilyn not only raised her three sons and one daughter, but she served in church and governmental positions in the city. For the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Marilyn served in the Relief Society and as an organist in her local ward. She also volunteered as a recorder for the City of Provo between 1987-2003.
