Biographical History

John G. Pace (approximately 1926- ) was the son of Utah State Mental Hospital Superintendent Garland H. Pace.

John G. Pace was born around 1926 in salt lake, Utah to Garland H. Pace and Luella Udall. After this father was hired to supervise the Utah State Mental Hospital in Provo, Utah in 1935. During his childhood, John witnessed the Works Progress Administration building the family's new home in the Provo area. He attended BYU high school until he chose to enlist in the military to fight in World War II, and observed Provo's growth during the 1930s-1940s - including the various musical programs the town had and some of the stores which don't exist in present-day Provo.
