Biographical History
Ivan Robison Willey (1912-2011) was an education professor and educational administrator in Utah and Wyoming.
Ivan Robison Willey was born on January 14, 1911, in Byron, Wyoming, to parents Roy and Clarissa Robison Willey. After recognition in his youth for his talent for basketball, Ivan attended Brigham Young University and graduated with his B.S. degree. Ivan married Evelyn Bourne on February 16, 1935, in Heber City, Utah. Together they moved to Wyoming, where Ivan obtained both his master's and doctoral degrees from the Univeristy of Wyoming. His original doctoral research resulted in the Wyoming School Foundation Program, which provided funding for schools in the state for 50 years. Ivan was a principal and superintendent for the Wyoming public school system for 20 years, and helped to start a local bank as well. Ivan was also professor, dean, and department head in the College of Education at the Univeristy of Wyoming for 22 years. missionary, bishop, high councilor, and stake president, and director of the Idaho Falls Temple Visitors' Center in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints Cheyenne, Wyoming Stake were also positions Ivan held. ivan was also a father, grandfather, and great-grandfather to fifteen before he passed away.
