Biographical History

Ruth Hobson Biddulph (1911-2010) was a professor of English and Children's Literature at Rick's College.

Ruth Hobson was born August 17, 1911, in Ogden, Utah, to George Cornelius and Agnes Leonora Jansen Hobson. She received her associate's degree at Rick's College during her high school years and later earned her master's degree in literature. After marrying Lowell Biddulph on May 25, 1931, she taught for many years as a professor of English and Children's Literature at Rick's College. Ruth Biddulph traveled with her husband to Yellowstone every summer so he could work as a ranger naturalist. After serving as the advisor to the women's service club for many years, Biddulph retired in 1973. After Lowell's death in 1985, she moved to Provo, but traveled almost all over the world as well as served two missions for the LDS church at the Washington, D.C. temple and at the Salt Lake City LDS church visitor's center.

Biddulph passed away on May 11, 2010, in Provo, Utah.
