Biographical History
Lowell George Biddulph (1906-1985) the head coach and Dean of Men at Rick's College as well as a National Parks ranger at Yellowstone National Park.
Lowell George Biddulph was born April 14, 1906, in Hooper, Utah, to Samuel and Nellie Quibell Biddulph. Throughout his childhood, he enjoyed taking part in football, basketball and track teams as well as trips into the Wasatch Mountains with his father. Biddulph graduated from BYU in 1928 and took a coaching job at Madison High School after working in Yellowstone that summer. He married Ruth Hobson on May 25, 1931, after which he later worked at Rick's College as the head coach, Dean of Men, Dean of Students, head of the athletic and physical education department, and a professor of geology. He also spent every summer from 1928-1968 at Yellowstone park working as a ranger naturalist. Biddulph and his wife served a mission in Nauvoo, Illinois after their retirement from Rick's College in the early 1970's.
Biddulph passed away on March 10, 1985, in Rexburg, Idaho.
