Materials include a letter from J.H. Sherman in Carthage, Illinois, to Smith Tuttle in Fair Haven, Connecticut. The letter is primarily regarding Sherman paying taxes on Tuttle's property in Nauvoo and Commerce, Illinois, including some for property he owned on Joseph Smith's Addition in Nauvoo. Dated November 19, 1847.
