Biographical History
Velva Lee Smith (1926-1993) was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Utah.
Velva Lee Stokes was born on May 16, 1926, in Pasadena, California, to parents Velva Fern Austin and Oleen Stokes. She attended college at Utah State Agricultural College in Logan, Utah, where she met her future husband, Delmont King Smith. They were married on September 18, 1946, in Salt Lake City, Utah, and together they had and adopted eight children. Velva Lee was actively involved in family and church.
She died on November 15, 1993, in Mesa, Arizona.
