J. Grant Snow (1924-1945) served in the United States Navy during WWII.

Joseph Grant Snow was born on July 10, 1924, in St. George, Utah, to Grant Bleak Snow, and Lydia Pearl Bowman. He had three younger siblings. Grant graduated from Delta High School in Delta, Utah, in 1942. He attended Dixie College in St. George, Utah, where his uncle, Glenn Snow was president at the time. Grant was an Eagle Scout and lettered in football at Dixie College. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in June 1943, duuring WWII, at the age of 19. He had military training at the Great Lakes Naval Station, Newport, Rhode Island, and New London, Connecticut. On January 4, 1945, Joseph was washed overboard from a submarine while on patrol duty in the South Atlantic. He was pronounced missing and presumed dead at the age of 20.
