Biographical History
Aram Il'yich Khachaturian (1903-1978) was a Soviet Armenian composer.
Khachaturian is known as one of the most important Armenian composers. He moved to Russia and at age nineteen started studying music. He studied at the Moscow Conservatory. He was later denounced by the Communist party. He wrote ballets, symphonies, concertos, and numerous film scores.
