Biographical History

Alan Hovhaness (1911-2000) was an Armenian American composer.

Hovhaness was born in Boston, Massachusettes. From a young age he was drawn to music. He studied at the Boston's New England Conservatory of Music. He is influenced by the works of Sebilius and composed over 500 works.
