John Quincy Adams (1862-1939) was a settler and rancher in southern Utah during the late 1800s.

John Quincy Adams was born on December 10, 1862, in American Fork, Utah, to parents Nathan William and Mary Melinda Plunkett Adams. He lived and helped to settle St. George, Washington, and Kanab, Utah. He worked as a homesteader, rancher, dam builder, sheep herder, farmer, innkeeper, and temple worker.

He married Emma Elizabeth McAllister on January 4, 1888, in St. George, Utah. They had eight children.

Adams died February 20, 1939, in Kanab, Utah.
