Biography

wo Strike, 1832-1915, leader of the Brulé Sioux, also known as Two Strikes, Nomkahpa, Nom-pa-ap'a, or Knocks Two Off, who played a major role in Plains Indians events and diplomacy during the latter part of the 19th century, he surrendered on Jan. 15, 1891, and shortly after went to Washington, D.C. as part of a delegation seeking improved conditions for his people, he was buried on Pine Ridge Reservation.
