Lyndon W. Cook, a student of LDS Church history and an instructor in history at UVSC, worked for several years gathering materials for what he anticipated would be a complete edition of the papers of Thomas L. Kane (1822-1883). Cook abandoned the project in 1985 and gave his research collection to the BYU Library. Many of the typescripts of Kane's letters and related items were then integrated into the Kane Collection by Dennis Rowley's and the acquisition of a substantially larger Kane...
