Biographical History

Loren Grey (1915-2007) was an American educational psychologist and author.

Loren Zane Grey was born on November 20, 1915 in Middletown, New York to Zane Grey and Lina Elise Roth. After his family moved to California, Grey studied English at the University of Southern California. He left school to serve in the United States Navy during the Second World War, returning afterward to obtain a master's and doctoral degree in educational psychology. In 1945 he married Marcella Robinson; they were later divorced. He then married Bonnie McDermott.

Professionally, Grey worked as a professor of educational psychology at California State University, Northridge. He also helped maintain his father's legacy, and served as president of Zane Grey, Inc. for years. He also ghost wrote a series of Western novels himself.

Grey died on February 2, 2007 in West Hills, Los Angeles, California.
