Richard Behrendt (in business approximately 1906-1930) was a novelty seller and postcard publisher based in San Francisco California.

Richard Behrendt was a publisher, importer, and seller of novelties, postcards, stereoviews, toys and greeting cards based out of San Francisco, California. Postcards published under his name had a wide variety of styles and subjects, but they often featured the West Coast, particularly California, and some included pictures of the San Francisco Earthquake.

Scope and Contents

Contains 17 stereoviews of places in Europe and the United States. Places include Oregon, Arizona, California, Illinois, Washington D.C., Athens (Greece), St. Louis (Missouri), Norway, Moscow (Russia), England, Germany. Fourteen of the stereoviews were published by the H.C. White Co.; two were published by Richard Behrendt and one was published by B.W. Kilburn.
