Mette Ivie Harrison (1970- )is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and an author in Utah.

Mette Ivie Harrison was born on September 30, 1970 in New Jersey. When Harrison was 10 years old she moved to Provo, Utah. In 1988, Harrison received the "Erza Taft Benson Scholarship" for great scholarship and citizenship in the community. Harrison graduated from Brigham Young University in 1990 with a B.A. and M.A. in German Languages and Literature. She married Matt Harrison in December 1990. Together they have 5 children. Harrison received a PhD from Princeton University in 1995 in Germanic Languages and Literature. Harrison is a critically acclaimed author of 8 YA books and 2 adult books.
