Biography

David M. Walden (1947-2010) was a historian from Utah.

David Michael Walden was born November 6, 1947 to Blake Walden and Charlotte Brown Walden, in Omaha, Nebraska. He graduated from Holstein High School in Iowa, and went on to complete a B.S. degree in zoology and bacteriology from Iowa State University in 1969. Walden served in the United States Navy and was stationed at Bremerton Naval Hospital in Washington state and the Naval Hospital on Guam. Walden received his M.A. in behavior science from the University of Guam and an additional master's degreee from Brigham Young University. He taught American history at Salt Lake Community College. Walden was the author and editor of several publications and an interviewer for the Mormon Outmigration Leadership History Project administered by BYU. Walden died June 23, 2010, in Salt Lake City, Utah.
