Biographical History

Carole Reid Burr (1940-) is an author and the daughter of Rose Marie Reid.

Carole Reid Burr was born Carole Marie Reid on July 18, 1940, to Rose Marie and Jack Reid in Vancouver, Canada. She attended York House school in Canada. Carole later graduated from Brigham Young University. She married James B. Burr in 1958, and had several children. She later divorced her husband. Carole authored a book on her mother, Rose Marie Reid. She lives in Provo, Utah.

Includes clippings advertising her swimsuits in newspapers and magazines, sketches and design books, awards, catalogs, and legal files. Also contains records of lawsuits and acquisitions, as well as actual swimsuits and wigs designed by Reid. All materials pertain to the success of her swimsuit designs and other fashion designs.
