Biographical History

Carole Reid Burr (1940-) is an author and the daughter of Rose Marie Reid.

Carole Reid Burr was born Carole Marie Reid on July 18, 1940, to Rose Marie and Jack Reid in Vancouver, Canada. She attended York House school in Canada. Carole later graduated from Brigham Young University. She married James B. Burr in 1958, and had several children. She later divorced her husband. Carole authored a book on her mother, Rose Marie Reid. She lives in Provo, Utah.

Contains records of Rose Marie Reid's awards. Includes photographs and articles about her success, especially the American Sportswear Design award and Designer of the Year award. Also contains collections of programs from these awards ceremonies, photographs of Reid accepting the awards, and a couple of actual medals and a trophy. Dated approximately 1953 to 1964.
