Biographical History

Edwin Nelson Ferdon Jr. (b. 1913) is a notable ethnologist noted for his studies of the peoples of Polynesia and the Americas. He earned his bachelors degree from the University of New Mexico, and a masters from the University of Southern California. He worked as a museum curator, researcher, and associate director in Southwestern cultural heritage institutions, retiring in 1983 from the Arizona State Museum, University of Arizona.
