Biography

Kitty Norris (1920-2008) was an educator in the United Kingdom and Utah. She was Welsh poet the wife of poet Leslie Norris.

Catherine Mary Morgan (Kitty) Norris was born on April 19, 1920 in Dowlais, Wales. She graduated with a degree in chemistry before eventually changing professions and gaining several education degrees. Norris then worked in administration and teaching. Kitty married Leslie Norris in 1948, and remained married to him until his passing in 2006. They lived in several places in the United Kingdom for teaching jobs, before coming to the United States. When Leslie began teaching at Brigham Young University, Kitty Norris also taught classes at the university before eventually retiring. She passed away in 2008 while still living in Orem, Utah.
