Spanish fur trader operating out of St. Louis, Missouri. He secured exclusive rights to trade with the Osage Indians and established a trading post post at the junction of the Yellowstone and Bighorn rivers.

Handwritten and signed agreement dated 1 April 1797 in which Delassus agrees to pay Manuel Lisa, the Spanish fur trader, moneys in the form of silver and goods. Lisa signed the item as well.
