Biographical History

George H. Bowie (b. 1945) was an academic administrator in Utah.

George Henry Bowie was born in 1945 in Provo, Utah. He later moved to Scotland, where he worked as a tax officer and with the Aberdeen City Police. He then returned to the United States to attend Brigham Young University. He received his bachelor's degree in 1976 and a master's degree in 1990.

Bowie began working at Brigham Young University in 1976 as the director of public affairs. Over the course of his career at the university he served as managing director public relations, executive director public affairs, and assistant advancment vice president.

He retired from the university in 2000, and founded Westmoor Consulting in Provo, Utah.
